WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY AND CHOLESTEROL

This site usually comments on the different types of lipids but the comments on this post deals with what happens to to the body after an extreme weight loss.

This post will be an observation as to what can happen, when the body is breaking down fat and how the fat is eliminated.

Elimination of fat has to go through the blood stream before it is eliminated through body function. by doing so the body is coping with large amount of fats, that may clog the arteries, thereby penetrating the arteries in a manner that leads to the deposits of cholesterol and the body is so regulated that breaking down fat is done in a manner that the body can not cope with in a normal manner, this includes the fibrinolytic system, that eventually is overwhelmed by the end products of fats. Women are usually protected from early coronary disease through their menses but the ability for the body to eliminate fats after menses is not as readily avaiable, this is probably do to a lack of estrogen or other hormones.

As we age our cholesterol levels are harder to control.mainly due to aging.

Also, parts of the stomach are needed to complete many of the bodies regulatory systems and this includes many vitamins that are not available for synethsis through this weight lowering procedure. Not to say a women, not taking the necessary vitamins will have a tremendous hair loss. This reminds me of those that are genetically altered with the body not being able to manufacture cholesterol. These are those that are given certain vitamins that are needed for the manufacturing of a normal amount of apo B.

One should weigh all factors before embarking on such an EXTREME manner of weight loss. This also goes for weight loss done by traditional methods.

Stay well
